The great American scholar Thomas Edison was born in Ohio in 1847 and studied at the school for a period not exceeding three months. His teacher later announced that he was a mentally retarded child. His mother took him away from school and taught him at home. Many of the skills that helped him then develop his inventions. Thomas Edison was a heavy-tongued person who could not pronounce words easily. He gradually lost his hearing at an early age. Nevertheless, he continued to study and work. His mother appointed a physics teacher but could not keep Edison's brain and logic at bay.
